From a very early age, I have been confronted with death and grief. Experiencing the loss of loved ones in our culture, one that trains us to neglect this unavoidable, yet natural, stage of life, has inspired me to become a Death Doula. The purpose of my work is to re-discover our ability to cope with death: accept it and understand its connection to our lives. I am someone who can bear broken-heartedness, who has seen the different facets of grieving, and who can find a million things other than sadness alone in the process of letting go and saying farewell.

My entire life I have been called by my community to serve the dying and their loved ones. To deepen my skills as an End-of-Life Doula, I completed the End-of-Life Doula certificate at Douglas College and was a scholar at the Orphan Wisdom School, founded by Stephen Jenkinson, MTS, MSW, author of “Die Wise”.
